Ray is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Medical Qigong Practitioner. Her comprehensive training as a healer includes a Master's Degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as Medical Qigong Certificate from AIMC Berkeley, and over 800 hours of Massage training from ACTCM as well as the San Francisco School of Massage.

 Since 2012, Ray has been teaching Qigong classes and practicing hands-on Medical Qigong. She was trained to practice and teach Medical Qigong by Dr. Daju Suzanne Friedman. Ray has also completed advanced training in Shiatsu massage, and she skillfully practices a range of other traditional body therapies, including Cupping, Moxibustion and Gua Sha. Ray attended short-term study abroad program at the Zhejiang Universtity in Hangzhou, where she had the privilege of studying clinical applications of Acupuncture and Tui Na in University hospitals.

Prior to Ray's study and practice of holistic healing, Ray attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and worked in the Public Health sector.  She was involved in women's health activism and volunteered with a needle exchange outreach program for homeless communities.

Ray became interested in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine while working in administration at St. James Infirmary (SJI), where she witnessed the meaningful therapeutic effects of Acupuncture within the marginalized communities served by SJI. Shortly after this first exposure to the Medicine, Ray began what would be a transformative six-year journey toward becoming an Acupuncturist, and a lifelong journey on the path of healing. Currently, Ray offers acupuncture and bodywork to participants at SJI as a volunteer.
